Castle and fortified citadel
The walled citadel on the promontory, with the old cathedral and a view over the gulf.
Why go there
The citadel occupies the top of the promontory. Walls and buildings belong to different periods, including the Aragonese and Spanish ones. Inside are the old cathedral, churches and open ground that, on clear days, looks toward the islands. The visit climbs up from the old town: it is not a flat walk.
